What a Beautiful Perfect Day!

Yesterday was the big day for Team James and Jake. It was the March for Babies. Our team raised over $8000. for the March of Dimes. It was six long but wonderful miles. I met so many people that I only knew by their blogs. It was wonderful to put a face with the name. My favorite meeting was with Rhonda and her daughter Stephanie and Steph's daughter Ivy. Rhonda and I just clicked over the blog world. It was like I knew her forever. We had a great time and kept each other going. Aren't they sweet? I sure think so.
Rhonda and I made a new friend who lost her group. We had a fun time walking together and found we had lots in common. We exchanged emails and blog addresses. I hope it doesn't stop there. Here's Rhonda and Lori as we strolled through downtown Valpo.Although it was a long and hot walk, I loved every minute of it. I was so proud and honored to be part of Team James and Jake. Those two little boys have left an imprint on my heart and I am in awe of their mommy. She is the strongest, most amazing woman I know. I love Beth and her family and am so lucky to have them in my life.

  3. What a beautiful post and such wonderful photos for such a very, very important cause. I didn't get a chance to walk here this year, but I always think about how 6 miles has the potential to help each and every baby... and their families, more than we can dream. You're my hero... seriously.
