A very blessed Easter to all of you and your families.
My plan was to be posting a picture of my beautiful granddaughters in their first matching dresses. Unfortunately, they are both sick and spent the day in their jammies. They are both being such troopers. We went over to see them and take them their Easter presents. The baby who is almost six months old has red, watery eyes and a runny nose. She just looked so sad, but she still had a smile for grammy and papa. Our big girl who will be three in May was excited to see us come with surprises. She perked up pretty quick. I hate that they had to miss all the fun at my mom's house. The good news is that we have a wedding in May for them to wear their dresses to.
I did something so embarrassing on Friday. It was a fiasco in the parking lot after school for dismissal. We weren't supposed to have school , but had to go to make up a snow day. Because we weren't supposed to be there, there was a blood drive in the gym and numerous church services throughout the day. My after school job is to direct traffic in the parking lot for car pick up. At our school, I swear almost everyone goes by car. Usually we have very few cars parked in the lot. Today there were a bunch parked all over. I was out there looking like a traffic cop directing them all here and there. As I was walking backward, I tripped on a manhole and fell over backward. I must have looked like a weeble. I was up as fast as I was down. I hit my head, but wasn't letting on to anyone watching that I did. At least it wasn't hard. But, oh crap!!!!! How embarrassing. You can all stop laughing now.
That's it for now. It's 9:00 and I still have to exercise before bed. Have a great week.
Hope everyone feels better soon! I admire you for exercising at 9pm on Easter! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteLizard is feeling pretty crappy and Noodle is the same (coughing and scratchy throat with a stuffed up nose). Even being sick she still helped me with Lizard a little bit. She's the best! Enjoy your shred time. If the girls allow, Husband and I are going to give it a shot. It'll be a sight to see :)
ReplyDeleteSorry your grandkids were sick!!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl....exercising at 9pm.
Sorry to hear about the sick granddaughters and the fall! Jeez...can't catch a break, huh? Get well wishes on the way and you be careful...hear?!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a trooper with the exercise...way to go! Wish I had your drive!
So sorry about your granddaughters... but you have the best and most positive attitude! Be careful with your head, for heaven's sake!!!! That must have hurt!!!!
ReplyDeleteI tried leaving a comment on Sun. morning after I read this and my computer froze up. I almost choked on my blueberry morning cereal. I hope your little angels are getting better. It's a bummer when they are too sick to enjoy the Holiday.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh- I can't believe you hit your head! I am so sorry, but I totally would have been laughing and concerned at the same time. I laugh at the most inappropriate times!
ReplyDeleteSteph
Ouch!! I feel for you.. I have fallen in front of my students, too, and it's so embarrassing. But I am like Steph and probably would've laughed while helping you up because I always seem to laugh at the worst time!
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteOpps:)
I hope your granddaughters are feeling better soon..their is NOTHING worse then a sick kid.
You have my sympathy for your sick granddaughters but most of all for your fall. Why are we embarrassed when we fall? We jump up, want no attention, and try as hard as we can to erase the incident altogether. I'm glad you're okay, but just remember, we all fall at one time or another and it just happens. It's not something dumb you do or because you're inadequate in some way. It's just an accident and it can happen to anybody.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I'm so glad you didn't break anything.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
