True Confession Tuesday

I not only fell off the wagon since weigh in, I let the wagon run right over me. I have a reason, but it is certainly no excuse. One of my very best friends mom died unexpectedly on Thursday. She fell on Wednesday and hit her head and there was nothing they could do. So, I spent my time with the family. And....

1. I cooked
2. I ate
3. I ate some more
4. I drank
5. I drank some more
6. Exercise never even crossed my mind

Today was the funeral. Things will calm down now and get back to normal. I'm not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. I'll just be posting that in the comments. I promise I will do better next week. It certainly has to be better than this week!

  1. So sorry about your friend's Mom. That is so sad. One of my daughter's girlfriends lost her Dad this past fall. He fell down his basement stairs and had a head injury and he died too. Don't worry, you will get back on track with your diet. I have faith that you can do it! Love & blessings from NC!

  3. I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a very legitimate distraction ~ real life just gets suspended for a time and that's the way it should be. Looking after your friend during her grief is far more important.

Best wishes for the coming week!

  5. :( *hugs* sorry for your loss. as much as we try to retrain ourselves, its very difficult to not fall back into old habits during times of stress/grief.

on a happy note: i love the play list. i just left your page up so i could listen to it for 3 or 4 songs.

  9. I am so, so very sorry to hear of this sad time. My heart is broken for your friend, for you... for the family. Your great, kind, loving heart had too much to do to even think about anything else... and this is why you have such friends. Picking up the pieces after such a loss is so very difficult and it takes time. Time is the great healer, but sometimes it just seems to crawl so slowly. Your friend will need you... and you will be there for her. Your wagon will back up and pick you up when you need it. Exactly when you need it. You are all in my prayers...

  10. Oh Nancy, I am so sorry about your friend's mom. She is lucky to have you as a friend and I am sure you will help her through this difficult time. Things happen in our lives that take us off course, but I know you will find your way back! Saying prayers for your friend.

  13. I am so sorry for your friend's loss. Sometimes being in the moment for a friend means putting yourself second. You are a good friend and there is always tomorrow to jump back on the wagon!
