King of the World

Isn't that what we all think of our daddy? I always miss my dad, but today especially. It's hard to believe that he has been gone for almost 33 years. He has missed so much. It breaks my heart. I wish he could have been here to meet all my kids and his great grandkids. I know he would have loved them so much. He would have been so proud of the twins. They run on his side of the family. They all missed so much by not knowing him. My oldest daughter was the only one of my kids who knew him, but she was only two and a half when he died. She remembers a couple things which is better than nothing, but it's not much. I miss you dad and I love you so much.

I know that you would be proud of the dad and grandpa Dick is. He's a lot like you were. He spoils them all rotten and loves them very much. I'm sure you already know that though.

Enjoy the song by Point of Grace. I think it would make the perfect father/daughter dance for a wedding. It pretty much says it all

Happy Father's Day to the two most important daddies in my life!

  1. I posted this video a good while back because the song is so precious. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day. We are truly blessed...aren't we?!!

  2. I'm so sorry that you are having to celebrate Father's Day without your Dad. You actually did not have your Dad in your life for very long, but hopefully you still have some wonderful memories of him. I know he is smiling down on you from heaven. Beautiful song. Thanks for sharing. Love & blessings from NC!

  3. A beautiful post for your wonderful men! I know how you feel today about your Dad... mine has been gone for 35 years. I miss him and think about him every single day... but I do know that heaven is a touch away. xo!

  4. Sweet sweet post. Loved the song.

  5. Nancy, my kids call their Dad... King of the Universe! Beautiful post!

  6. OMG..I love Point of Grace. What a beautiful post my friend. It sounds like Dick is carrying on your dad's wonderful traits. He is smiling down on your family.
