21 Day Challenge Finale


Today we come to the close of the 21 day challenge. Remember back when we started thinking about changing some of our bad habits and how it takes 21 days to form a new habit. We were testing the theory. Let's just say that I'm not the best person to ask if it worked.
I'm going to blame my half hearted effort on the last month of school. It is so busy that I meet myself coming and going. It isn't an excuse, but it is a reason. I drank water, but not as much as I should. I went to sleep, but not as early as I should and I exercised, but not as much as I should. Like I said, half hearted.
I'm looking forward to June 3. It's the last day of school. I'm excited because I'll have more free time. More time to work out. More time to sleep. More time to do the things I want to do. I keep thinking about Team Shrinking Jeans. They ran 12 miles this week. 12 miles!! And I can't find the time to exercise consistently. How lame is that? It's okay. Two weeks from tomorrow and I'll be done with school and things can change. I'll make them change.
I almost forgot that it is also a weigh in. I'm up .4 pounds. Nothing huge, but still a gain.
Lastly, tomorrow is preschool olympics and get to run out and light the torch. I've been doing it for about ten years and I love it. It's a great day!

  1. I agree that TIME is so important to keeping goals. We think when we get to be our age all things will get easier. NOT! When I was teaching all those 30 years, I could never have trained to do anything (well, maybe housework and cooking!!). You can almost begin singing SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!! Thinking of you... !!

  2. I am glad you are looking forward to school being out and having more time. For me, when school is out that means I'll have less time because my oldest two will be home from school. I'll just have to deal with it. =)
    It is really hard to have the time to do everything everyday. You will meet your goals soon when school is out. Keep it up.

  3. At least you get on the scale..that's more than I can say for myself lately. .4 is nothing...it was probably water. I am still proud of you.

  6. Oh! You are doing better than me! I still havent gotten around to getting back to my "walking" since last summer! In fact, I hate to admit it, but... when we went up to my dad's for a week, I was frantically looking for my running (*ahem...yeah right!) shoes and I coudn't ven remember what they looked like!

  7. .4 of a pound might just be the vagaries of the scale. No big deal. The important thing is probably that you're aware and working on those important new habits.
