This weeks Monday Project at the Sisterhood is to fill in the blank. The sentence is I_______ because_______. We are supposed to fill in the blanks with our exercise of choice and why we do it. Here's mine......I walk because I like it.
1. I walk because depending on my mood, I can go fast or slow.
2. I can walk year round. I have a treadmill, so it is never weather related.
3. I walk in the summer with one of my best friends and it is our own personal therapy session.
4. I walk because I'm not a good runner. I'm trying to run, but I'm just not good at it.
5. I walk because I can do intervals with it.
6. I walk because it's for me.
So, that's why I walk. Pretty simple, but it's my reasons.
Sometimes the simplest reasons have the strongest on us...emotionally and physically!
ReplyDeleteGood reasons Nancy!
Summer walks with friends are the BEST! Keep on keepin' on, Nancy! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLoved this, Nancy! I miss walking!
ReplyDeleteI walk because I HATE to run!!! I love to walk, especially with a friend, so we can talk. Now that the weather has gotten nice, I need to get back to my walking. I miss it. Plus, I feel so much better when I walk on a daily basis. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteOk, Nancy...I'm getting on the treadmill right now! You are a great inspiration. And I LOVE your new haircut!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a great attitude and you're so practical. I agree, though, walking is one of the best ways EVER to get some exercise. I hope, too, that we can to some walking (and picture-taking) in the Dunes after our grandsons are born.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the simplest, yet most meaningful, exercise I've ever read about exercise. I have my mind filled with my answers... and the inspiration is phenomenal. Thank you, Sisterhood! Thank you, Nancy!!
ReplyDeletei would have to agree - walking is so theraputic. its a perfect lunchtime activity on a nice day.
