Tonight, I want to remember that we've had some good days too. Last Sunday, we had a baby shower for my daughter. She is due soon with our first grandson. I can't even explain how excited we are about this. I'm sure I told you before that it's been 25 years since we had a baby boy born in our family. Needless to say, we have no boy clothes to pass down, so we had a small shower to get him started.
This is my beautiful daughter and me. Isn't she adorable?
This my daughter and my mom. Mom is so excited about this baby, her first great grandson.
These are some daughters, nieces and great nieces.
Who might possibly have bought this present?
I know this is going to seem random, but ever since Beth's shower, I can't get enough of this stuff. It's cucumber water and it is so refreshing.
This is a time for my family to learn about the circle of life. We've lost a family member, but we are also going to have a new one. It's a time to hold my loved ones a little closer and make sure they know how much I love them. They are my heart and soul and the lights of my life. They mean everything to me.
On this blessed Easter weekend, hold your family close and tell them that you love them.
So sorry about your husbands cousin. So difficult for his family.
ReplyDeleteYour daughters are so beautiful!! You will so enjoy that baby boy, won't you? It is the circle of life...
So sorry about your sudden loss. So sad. I will say a special prayer for your family. What fun to welcome a new grandson to your family. A bittersweet time for you. Lose one family member, but welcome another one. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteI am so, so sorry about this tragic death of your beloved cousin-in-law. As you and I both know, losing your Dad is so very difficult... so very sad. Yes, life is a grand circle and cycle and there is a reason for all and every season...
ReplyDeleteI see you surrounded in blue! It is a glorious color! I see you surrounded in the beauty of your girls and your family! Let Easter fill you... during this most sad and most happy time. You are an inspiration and I'm sure your wisdom is needed so very much right now. With much love and blessings wished your way... Sharon
I always love the pics of you & your daughters. The resemblance is amazing & you are all beautiful! Hope you'll slip over to the basement and enter the Springtime Giveaway!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, meaningful, heartfelt post, Nancy. I'm sorry for your loss but looking forward with you to your newest family member. I'm praying for a blessed weekend for you and your family and maybe a brand new little boy. (When is he due?)
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your families loss. Cannot wait to hear about when the little guy arrives though! (I've never had cucumber water... might have to try soon!)
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the circle of life. But it is so very hard to lose a family member...and so young. I just said a prayer for his wife and daughter.
ReplyDeleteI KNOW how excited you are about that first grandchild. We have two...our first was born two years ago. She is the light of my life. All those things people tell us about grandchildren are more true than you could ever imagine.
May God bless you this Easter. He is risen!
So sorry to hear about your family's loss! Prayers for all of your familiy today and that there are many memories of his life that bring back special moments.
ReplyDeleteYou have a gorgeous looking family, dear friend!...I was very amazed to see just how many beautiful women in your family that there are! Your brand new little fella will be treated like royalty ;o)
Blessings & Aloha!
(...catching up again. Our oldest had a baby shower for her very dear and close sorority sister...and they had cucumber water too... so refreshing.)
So young! Very sad.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is a cutie pie. I know how excited your family must be.
Happy Easter sweet friend!
Kat
My heart goes out to you and your family over such an unexpected loss, but how amazing that in loss, there's the promise of new life for your family, too. So fitting at this time of year!
ReplyDelete(And I hear you on cucumber water... I've been addicted since I had some at a spa last year!)
I am loving this post so much looking and feeling the closeness of your family and love you all have. Your title is perfect because you are so right. It IS the circle of life. I still need to make me some of that yummy water. I was thinking that she might have Jack yesterday. I'm on pins and needles waiting along with you for the news. I want to get him something after he is born.
ReplyDeleteNancy, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your family is so full of beauty and wonderful memories, I can see that in your pictures. *hugs*
