Weigh In / 21 Days
Well folks, I suck! I'm not being down on myself or complaining. It's just a plain and simple fact. I gained a pound this week and I've done awful on my challenge goals.
Goals.....what goals? I haven't been to sleep before midnight all week. Some nights it was closer to 1:00. I have barely worked out and I've forgotten what water even is.
I did so great during the last challenge. I need my team. I need the Weight Loss Warriors. I do so much better when I am accountable to someone besides myself. Can the next challenge please be a team challenge??????
I've been reading some of the other posts and I found some inspiration from my friend Mary. She is awesome. Mary, our friend Rhonda and I are going to walk together one day a week when I get out of school. I can't wait.
I found out on Mother's Day that sometimes my kids listen to me. My daughter and son-in-law got me a kettle bell. It is now three days later and I haven't tried it yet. I also bought myself a shake weight on impulse one day. I haven't tried that either.
Guess what?.....I'm picking myself up by my boot straps (what a dumb saying!) and I'm getting back on track. My sweet friend Sharon gave me some inspiration too. I read on Facebook that she was biking 45 miles today. She is amazing. So, I am going to get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning and I'm going to try the kettle bell and the shake weight. I am going to drink water all day tomorrow and not touch a diet coke. Oh yes, I better go get some things done because in four hours and 25 minutes, my butt is going to be in bed.

Don't worry, we all fall out of line with our exercising. I started back walking tonight, as I have not walked in weeks. Just not enough hours in a day, is there? Hang in there, you'll get back in the groove. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeletei hear ya, nancy! i'm doing the same thing. but i'm not beating myself up over it either! here's to the last week of the challenge! hope you have a great workout tomorrow!!!
ReplyDeleteNancy... if I didn't have a GOAL, like a race of some sort, I would make every excuse in the book to NOT run or bike or swim! I have a printed training workout that I leave in my kitchen and I cross out in a pink marker every day I accomplish my thing for the day. This makes me think of my Mom who LOVES to bowl and golf and walk for miles but can't do it anymore. It makes me think of my cousin Cathy who died 6 years ago... a breast cancer victim at age 43. It makes me think of my life and health and my family. It is a nice reminder that I am in control... even if I suck once in awhile!! Which I certainly do!! Let us know how you do today!!
ReplyDeleteYou still inspire me even when you gain 1 measly little pound. At least you still blog about it, unlike I do. At least you are still doing the challenge, unlike I do. I have faith in you to get back on track. And I can't believe you stay up so late. My eyes close by 10:00...Hang in there and I hope to see you Saturday at the Market. My good friends band is playing there.
ReplyDeleteO.K. Let's get the first thing out of the way. YOU DON'T SUCK!! You may not have met your goals, but that doesn't mean you suck. That means you need a little more time on working out the kinks. You can do this!
