My winter has been cold and icy.
This first picture is my favorite. It took many shots until I got the one with the drip.
There are lots of cool icicle formations.
Picnic anyone?
We are nice enough to feed the birds daily and they have the nerve to be picky about what they will eat. Notice the seed they are pushing away?
Lastly, look at this poor little guy trying to hold his ground in the winds.
That's what I got out of my fifty or so shots. Go to
Beth's and see what everyone else got.
I love the drip capture! And, that's one strong little birdie! Cute
ReplyDeleteThe drip and the waving ice are so incredible! Wonderful captures!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing with your photography!! You really enjoy this challenge each week, don't you? I always love to see what you are going to post and the new pictures you have taken for these challenges. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I like the ones of the birds at the feeder the best!
ReplyDeleteThose are great shots! I especially like the last two.
ReplyDeleteYou are getting so good with that new camera of yours!!! Great shots!! I do want a picnic! What should I bring? SNOW CONES?
ReplyDeleteWow! You've become quite the photographer with all your winter 'action' shots! Beautiful job. I like them all a lot but the brave little bird is my favorite. What a capture!
ReplyDeleteThat poor little birdie! Makes me want to just scoop him up and bring him south! Absolutely gorgeous shots; glad I can look at them on your blog and not out my window.
ReplyDeleteI love those ice shots!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have a lot of accumulation. Love the ice shot and the poor hungry birdie shot. We just got a bird feeder so the boys could learn about compassion for nature. Not one bird has visited under their watch.
ReplyDeleteLove your song by the way. I had Billy Joel on mine, but I took it off cause I need some change. Have a suggestion?
Birds at bird feeders always, always make me smile!
ReplyDeleteI love the last shot! These are all really great.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that icicle shot was worth the wait - so cool! And the snow on the picnic table looks like layers of comfort! HA! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteOh man. You have a bunch of snow! Look at the picnic table!! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThose are some great captures! I love the little bird hanging on for dear life! And the drop of water off the icicle is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are great shots! I love the capture of the icicle in the first one and the picnic table is really funny! And the poor little bird in that last one! What great captures!
ReplyDeleteThe drip is magnificent! Coming here tonight was like therapy for me. I spent the entire day at the hospital... Rita is better, but the pneumonia is baffling the doctors... I don't know how many x-rays they can do on her tiny little body. Barry has a zillion questions... he has Crohn's disease and the perforation in his colon during the colonoscopy has him and me and everybody very concerned. He has been pumped with tons of antibiotics and they aren't letting him eat until Saturday... oh, God help us... he is weak and exhausted and sad that he couldn't see Taylor on her birthday. When I opened your blog and saw these magnificent photos... well, it calmed me. The whirl of the world and the silence and the time to drip and the time to rest... and holding your own against the wind. You will never know how peaceful all of this is to me right at this moment, sitting home alone with Janie's two big doggies at my feet... and you here with me. It is so very, very nice.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I love the one of the birds! I need to go put out some more birdseed for the ones around here.
ReplyDeleteThose are great. I especially like the unique shapes of the second one! Great captures.
ReplyDeleteYou are really getting good with your new camera capturing such great shots...Love the drip. Actually, love them all! I need to start back participating since I got my new camera.
