We don't have any pets at our house anymore.
I thought I was going to have to go to the grandpets for my captures.
Then the wildlife in my own backyard came through for me.
I still don't know what he was crowing about.
This guy should be smoking a cigarette.
He was having some fun with his girl when I ran in to get the camera.
These are the pigeons that live next door.
This guy totally creeped me out.
We've never had a frog like this before that I know of.
Nice of him to show up this week.
This guy and the rest of his family come to visit often.
You would never guess that I live two blocks off the main street of my town, would you?
I hear there are many animals gathering at Beth's

Creature central at your house!!?? I love your photos... and your descriptions... especially about the playboy squirrel! The deer is beyond precious. Isn't it funny how things seem to appear just when you need them!!??
ReplyDeleteSquirrel!
ReplyDeletePS - That frog is awful. I might have to move if he were at my house.
This post cracked me up! They are great captures. Do you feed the deer that come to visit? I would put a salt block out for them..but then you might never get rid of them. I thought that frog was a stuffed animal, how neat. And your horney squirrel cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteLove the squirrel & frog!
ReplyDeleteWow, Nancy! Such variety! And all in your own backyard. Great captures. Love the squirrel and his antics and the deer but I think your best picture is the bird (crow?). Very nice!
ReplyDeletehaha...my hubby and I don't have any "in-house" pets any more...so I laughed at your reference to "grandpets"! We have two "granddogs" and a "foster" granddog...our daughter and son-in-law have a boy-cocker spaniel, our college son has a girl-bischon (that he took to help a friend who can't keep her anymore) and he also is taking care of a boy-hound this semester to help train as an assistant dog.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow...wow...you managed to get some great animal photos and you don't even have to feed 'em!
Blessings & Aloha!
I had yesterday and have today off from work, so I hope to get caught up on some blog reading, returning visits and letting all those that entered know what was drawn. Thank you dear friend for stopping by. I was sad to hear all that transpired at Teresa's while we were on vacation. I hadnt been in blog world, so didnt know all that until I went to let her know her comment had been one of the ones picked.
Isn't there an old saying about crows and how many times they sound...One for sorrow, two for mirth, three for a wedding, four for a birth. I wonder what your crow was talking about :)
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy... there is always something to crow about!!! Great shots! As to your recent comment on my blog... My whole family wants me to bring all three of the Colorado Lesjaks home to Ohio in my purse!!!! Oh and there pretty little dog, Bo, too!!
ReplyDeleteI love that shot of the frog! Very cool!!
